23rd Annual Fall Festival and Halloween Parade
Saturday, October 26
Parade: 10:30-11:00 am
Festival: 11:00 am-1:30 pm
(Rain date: Sunday, October 27)
We‘ll meet near the old Park Headquarters across from Acorn Hill at 10:30 am, then parade down to Bruce Drive, where the party starts at 11:00 am!
The North Hills of Sligo Creek Civic Association (NHSCCA) is offering an afternoon of:

● Crafts
● Games
● Potluck
● Bounce House
● Neighbors, friends, and fun!
5th Annual House Decorating Contest
Add some fall or Halloween flair to your yard! Winners receive a yard sign to display and bragging rights until next year.
Categories
● Best traditional display
● Spookiest display
● Most clever display
● Best Block
● Judges' Choice
● People's Choice (most votes overall)
Rules
Winners will be determined by both popular vote and a team of judges.
Voting will be open to all neighbors Monday, October 21 through Friday, October 25, 8:00pm.
Judging will take place on Friday, October 25.
Winners will be announced and yard signs placed on Saturday, October 26.
How to Enter
Just decorate your yard or porch, and please make sure decorations don’t cover/interfere with any fire safety or walkways. If you want to be sure your decorations aren’t missed, email Megan DeSouza at megang123@gmail.com.
How to Vote
Enjoy walking around the whole neighborhood, including parts you might not usually venture to, and check out the fun decor. Then vote between Monday, October 21 and Friday, October 25.

Collection to benefit Shepherd's Table
Our Community Service Collection at this year's Fall Fest will benefit Shepherd’s Table.
Shepherd’s Table is located in downtown Silver Spring and provides food services and social services for those in need.
